Municipal Reservoir

A large roof covering a municipal reservoir sustained structural damage from high winds. A construction company specializing in water treatment plants was contracted to replace the damaged sections. The reservoir contained potable water and had to remain in use during the emergency repair.

Rhino Rigging was hired to install a netting system below the work area to prevent debris from contacting the water. Under Health Department supervision, Rhino sanitized boating equipment used to gain access to the structure from the reservoir. Rope access methods were used to install net sections with dimensions totaling 180 ft. x 400 ft. The unique environment required following confined space access rules and the use of safety equipment for water and fall hazards. The entire job was performed with zero incidence of contaminants contacting the potable water.
